Rolling Creek Trailhead

Access to the Rolling Creek Trail which passes the Castle, Colorado Trail - Segment 4, and Wigwam Trail. This trailhead can also lead into the Lost Creek Wilderness.

Rolling Creek Trailhead to The Castle at Wellington Lake: 6 miles, 1,300 feet of elevation gain

From the Rolling Creek Trailhead, follow the trail toward the NW base of The Castle.  Cross the creek and bushwhack up the side of the mountain to the saddle at 9200', where the route would be Class 5 if you were to continue, which we will not.  Return by the same route.

*The Castle can also be accessed from the Wellington Lake property which is private land and requires a liability waiver and parking pass. You can make a reservation online at www.castlemountainrec.com.
