Silver Dollar Lake and Murray Lake - The trail is rocky and depending on the season you will pass through some swampy areas.  You can continue past Silver Dollar Lake on a well marked steep trail to Murray Lake. Pass over several rockfall plumes that become potential avalanche chutes in winter.  One small scramble on the trail after the second rockfall plume - 4.2 miles, 1085' gain 

Mt Wilcox - (13,414')  Wilcox is the big mountain visible to the right/north while following the trail up to the Lake.  Past Murray Lake, go off trail to climb the mountain's west ridge. Look at a topo map to choose best route around small ridges, bushwhacking through willows and mostly off-trail tundra, with a final Class 2 talus walk. All above timberline, with magnificent views in all directions. Best done May, June, July, August, September, October.  If you descend on the east ridge back toward the cars, there are lots of willows to walk through.  Avoid the gun club private property - 6 miles, 2200' gain.
