South Nederland Loops

This is a network of trails just south of Nederland: Hobbit, Lookout, Aspen Alley, Super Vu, and Re-Root Trail Loop. It is a good combination of wooded and more wide open, panoramic views.

These are moderate hikes through a network of trails near a campground, just south of Nederland, CO.
Main trail access and parking is West Magnolia Trailhead on Hwy 119 between Rollinsville and Nederland.  There is a second "West Magnolia TH" inside the loops and a Lookout Trail TH off Eldora Rd.
The many looping trails are each too short to make a hike or Alternative Title but they can be combined in endless combinations for a nice hike or bike ride - total mileage and gain will depend on the trail combination chosen.  For example, a loop from Hwy 119 through the entire Hobbit Trail and returning to Hwy 119 is 8.2 miles, 784' gain. Other very short named trails part of this trail network shown on a CoTrex Map   include Lookout, Observatory, Super Vu, Re-Root, Aspen Alley, Whoop-di-doos, Clear Cut, Schoolbus, Old Horse, and Sugar Magnolia.
