Saint Elmo is a ghost town in Chaffee County Founded in 1880. It lies in the heart of the Sawatch Range, 20 miles southwest of Buena Vista and sits at an elevation of 9,961 feet.
Saint Elmo to Tin Cup Pass. 6 miles (one way), 2,000 ft elevation gain. This pass is located west of the town of St. Elmo. Primarily an ATV route but could be hiked or skied.
Saint Elmo to Hancock Pass. 7.4 miles (one way), 2,000 ft elevation gain.
