Colorado Families

Section geared toward incorporating kids and their families into our outdoor activities.

Families that play together stay together! Join us for exciting outdoor adventures designed to ignite a love for nature in children and foster family bonding amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Colorado Rockies. The CMC Families section offers a range of meet-ups to guided activities all catered to families with children, encouraging exploration, education, and unforgettable memories in the great outdoors.

This section offers:

  1. Nature Hikes and Bikes: Led by experienced guides, these hikes or bike trips are tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring everyone can participate and enjoy the wonders of the wilderness. From leisurely strolls or rolls to more challenging pursuits, discover hidden trails, stunning vistas, and diverse wildlife while learning about the local ecosystem.

  2. Rock Climbing: Scale new heights as a family with our rock climbing trips. Play together incorporating the basics of climbing safety, technique, and teamwork under the guidance of certified trip leaders. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned climber, these sessions cater to all levels, providing an exhilarating challenge for kids and adults alike.

  3. Outdoor Skills Workshops: Equip your family with essential outdoor skills through hands-on workshops covering topics such as navigation, wilderness survival, campfire cooking, and Leave No Trace principles. Gain confidence in the wilderness while fostering self-reliance and environmental stewardship among children and parents.

  4. Family Camping and Backpacking Trips: Immerse yourselves in the tranquility of nature with our family camping trips. Spend quality time together under the stars, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, telling stories, and creating lasting memories in picturesque wilderness settings. Families with older kids could step it up with more challenging backpacking adventures. Guided by seasoned camp leaders, these overnight adventures offer a perfect blend of relaxation and outdoor exploration.

  5. Snowshoeing and Winter Fun: Embrace the magic of winter with our snowshoeing excursions and winter-themed activities like ski resort meet-ups. Trek through snow-covered landscapes, build snow forts, and engage in snowball fights while experiencing the serene beauty of Colorado's winter wonderland. Our family-friendly winter outings provide a perfect opportunity to stay active and enjoy the snowy season together.
