Photography and hiking are an obvious combination. We hike to enjoy nature, and our cameras are the easiest way bring memories of the experience back home with us. The hobby does not have to be difficult: expensive (and heavy) gear is not required, nor is traveling to exotic destinations. You only need a willingness to be outside when your backyard is at its most beautiful.

Fortunately for us, Colorado is our backyard.

Seth Graham has spent 15 years as a hobbyist photographer and has hiked trails across the west learning what works and does not work when taking a photograph. In this talk, he will present a number of techniques that can be used to improve your ability to come home with a memorable photograph. Numerous examples will be provided, with a focus on the scenes and seasons available to us in Colorado.

Topics covered will include where to go, when to be there, and what to do when visiting the location.

Registration is required for this event as space is limited.

*Note that participants will automatically be added to the optional hike on May 9th, which will be posted as a separate event. Please communicate to the trip leader if you are unable to attend the optional hike.
