Narrative Description

CMC Student A slipped on snowy/icy rock while descending and injured her hand while catching her fall. She is a trained medical professional and was able to diagnose and stabilize her own injury.

Analysis

During our debrief, CMC Student A mentioned that she was just recovering from a recent illness and this was a large contributor to her exhaustion on the trip. Given the large mileage for the day, it would have been more conservative for her to have skipped this trip, ensuring that she could maintain energy throughout the day and decrease the odds of slips/falls.
