The fifth of a series of six progressively more difficult hikes in the Ascending Hikes Series - held each Friday for six weeks. Ascending hikes are meant to help get in shape through the season and build upon hiking knowledge. Our Goals in this fifth hike of the series will be: Increased Distance, Increased Total Climb, Rocky Terrain.

Everyone should bring the ten essentials (google is your friend). A hiking stick or treking pole is recommended.

Due to the length, extra food and water is advised (two liters minimum suggested).

Leader will send out a GPX track and Details on the route and conditions 2 days prior to the hike.

You should be comfortable with achieving a 9+ mile hike - a stretch conditioning hike for those that started with us on the first ascending hike.

Ascending Hikes are meant to help with conditioning and we always adjust our pace to meet the needs of the group.
