  • Elevation Gain: 1,800 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 10,600 ft

This hike is open to all members, but especially for members new to backcountry hiking.  We will focus on stream crossings, an important backcountry skill. We will keep a consistent pace but also take the time for everyone to feel comfortable.

The first part of the trail follows the west bank of Geneva Creek north from the trailhead, then crosses Geneva Creek and the Guanella Pass road. The trail heads up the valley with about 16 log crossings. As the route swings more toward the east, the valley gradually begins to open up into a meadow with great views of the aspens (10,600').

Meet at the Twin Forks Park and Ride at 7 am to organize carpools and a prompt drive away. https://g.co/kgs/wQ952Y7
