This hike is not for the casual hiker! We'll follow the following trail segments on the ascent: Moderate-steep Belcher Hill trail for 2.2 miles and continuing the punishing ascent on the very steep 2.6 mile Mustang trail. We'll enjoy a well-deserved and extended break after cresting Belcher Hill. We'll return to the parking lot by descending the Belcher Hill Trail for 3.8 miles. Colorado Mountain Club, Main parking lot, 710 10th Street, Golden, CO 80401. Meet at 6:00am, form carpools, and depart by 6:15am to the White Ranch East Trailhead, 21827 W. 56th Avenue, Golden, CO 80403. This hike is not for the casual hiker!
