Backpack – BPX 4-Day: Blue Lake and CDT from Conejos River TH
Day 1. From Three Forks trailhead, hike on the Conejos River Trail (#712) and the Rito Azul Trail (#718) to Blue Lake and make camp near the lake. (7 miles/1500’) Day 2. Day Hike from Blue Lake to Glacier Lake for some great scenery (this is optional). Day 3. Start very early and hike on the Continental Divide Trail to the Middle Fork Conejos Trail (#712.1). Camp near the junction and Lake Ann. (6 miles/1000’) Day 4. Descend on the Middle Fork Conejos Trail and Conejos River Trail trail to the trailhead. Make sure and visit the falls a short distance down the Middle Fork. (6 miles/0’). Overall Route Driving Directions: From Antonito, take Rt 250. Just past the Village of Platoro, turn left on Rt 247. Take that road past Platoro reservoir to the trailhead.

Leader lives in Montrose. Rendevous with Front Range participants at 11am in Antonito at Dutch Mill Cafe in Antonito (407 Main St) for lunch. It is just over 4hrs (238miles) from Golden to Antonito. Will caravan from there to trailhead.
