Backpack – Continental Divide Cabin

We will snowshoe 8/10 mile in to Continental Divide hut, stay 2 nights. Day 2 there's optional 3-4 mile snowshoe on Colorado Trail. We will share evening meals. Day 3 we will hike out, return to our cars and drive home.

SIGN UP W/LEADER, send leader email/text, lindajagger@yahoo.com or 303-249-0986 to sign up. Send check to leader for $125.00 for 2 nights lodging.

Day 1, carpool to trailhead, with stop at Safeway, Leadville first. Pack up and snowshoe in to the hut. If necessary multiple trips can be made to/from hut to carry in extra food supplies. Do group dinner.

Day 2 do a day snowshoe trip on Colorado trail, approximately 3-4 mi, maybe 400 ft gain. Return to hut and do group dinner.

Day 3 enjoy breakfast, pack up & hike out.

Bring personal Sleeping bag, pillow case recommended. We are the only group in the hut.

Participants will need to sign waiver 10th Mt Huts.

Meet at Colorado Mountain Club parking lot, 15606 W 32nd St, Golden, CO at 8:30am, Mar 9, 2026. Depart at 8:45am. Drive via I70 to Tennessee Pass. Or participants can arrange individual carpools.
