We will have an opportunity to do a creek crossing exercise to achieve that learning objective, so consider what footwear you want for that and if you want to bring some sort of water shoes or not.
Depending on how adventurous everyone is feeling and also depending on any physical limitations or injuries, there is a fun scramble (Class 3 and 4) that takes us up the Grizzly Lake stream outlet that drops from the perched lake down through a rock crevasse out into Chihuahua gulch.
From the Woolly Mammoth Park-n-Ride lot near the intersection of I-70 and Morrison Road we will depart at 6:45 and travel up and over Loveland pass via this route…LINK: WOOLY MAMOTH TO CHIHUAHUA GULCH TRAILHEAD
