Backpack – Missing Route/Place
Camping in RMNP's wilderness campsites near beautiful alpine lakes is one of the best ways to experience the park. Odessa Lake as a destination is a premiere alpine lake environment with plenty of opportunities to engage in multiple recreational opportunities, like hiking, climbing, and fly-fishing.

- Participants need to have backpacked in the last two years and be proficient, and in shape. If you have not been on one of my trips before please contact me before signing up. Cell: 303-912-8000.
- Activities at camp include fly fishing hiking, reading, etc. I could help one or possibly two people with fly fishing basics.
- Once the group forms we can discuss shared gear and carpooling.
- Trip is open to all people age 23 years and older. Singles and couples, no families.
- If we’re lucky there will be some nice fall colors, red and yellow Aspen trees
- We may listen to some mellow music at camp.
- If the weather looks too cold or heavy precipitation we may cancel or postpone the trip; rough weather estimation, low of 35, high of 50. Although it can get chilly at night the proper pad and clothing, bag will help. The daytime weather can be gorgeous with cool air and warm sun
- We would park at Bear Lake or the shuttle lot. There is a park entrance fee - $35 for multiple days. I have a free pass for my car. Others may have the same.
