Basic Snowshoe – Chicago Lakes

Please consider your fitness level before you sign up for this snowshoe as mileage at altitude does make a difference. All participants will be asked to break equal amount of trail, 3 inch snow does not count as breaking trail, that called making your mark.  If you are recovering from an injury and want to join, contact the leader, we have all been there at some point.  

Please make the leader aware if you need a clothing adjustment or snack break as all breaks WILL BE taken as a group to avoid multiple delays. Please dress appropriately so that you will be relatively comfortable until group stops are made for clothing adjustments. Any MEDICAL conditions you may have that might IMPACT the group, please discuss with the leader prior to the day of the trip.  Should you need to cancel your spot on this trip after the trip has closed, please contact the leader by txt.

Feel free to arrange carpool from the front range - suggestion Wooly Mammoth exit 259 section BB. Across from the gas station.

The leader will meet the group at the 0800 hrs at the Clear Creek Ranger District office, free parking lot in Idaho Springs (101 CO-103, Idaho Springs, CO 80452).
