This is a very easy snowshoe route as the emphasis is on snowshoeing in the dark by the light of a full moon.  There is a small bridge over a creek that we will need to cross during the snowshoe.  The bridge is about 12 inches wide and around 6 feet long.  If crossing this bridge is a concern for you, this might not be the snowshoe trip for you.

After the snowshoe, we will go into Estes Park for a nice dinner at a local Italian restaurant.  I expect we will be back to the Park-n-Ride in Denver between 10 and 10:30 PM.

This is a fun snowshoe trip that I've done for several years.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to give the trip leader a call or send me an email.  Please bring both snowshoes and microspikes.  Depending on the snow conditions, we may only need microspikes.

If you have an annual pass to Rocky Mountain National Park, please be sure to bring it with you.

We will meet at the Highway 36 and Sheridan Park-n-Ride at 2:30 PM and drive up to RMNP together.  A map showing the exact meeting location at the Park-n-Ride will be shared with all participants at a later time.

A headlamp with good batteries.  However, we usually don't need to use our headlamps as the moon provides enough light.

Snowshoes and Microspikes.  We will make a determination at the trailhead which to use.  Trekking poles would be nice to have.
