Bike – Cherry Creek North to the Highline Canal

This is a RMOTHG Hare ride. Out and back from Empire Field along the Platte River Trail to Cherry Creek Trail to the Highland Canal and return to Empire Field.

  • Pace: 12 to 14 mph

This ride is an out-and-back at a moderate pace. E-bikes are welcome, but the pace will be set by riders on conventional bikes.

There will be an optional lunch at The Original Brooklyn's Restaurant (2644 W. Colfax)

This trip is for RMOTHG members and guests. Guests may participate in two activities before joining CMC and RMOTHG. The guest must personally register on CMC.org as a "Guest", which will include signing a waiver.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Helmet - will not be allowed to ride without one.
Closed-Toe Shoes or other cycling-specific shoes/sandals
Clothing for changes in weather
Sufficient water and food for the length of the ride
Personal First Aid kit including identification and medical card
Flat tire repair kit with spare tube(s) to fit rider’s bike, inflation pump and/orCO2 cartridge(s) and knowledge of their use
Small tool kit to perform minor bike adjustments

Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Lip Balm
Smartphone for finding a route back to your car, also for emergency contact purposes
Consider wearing bright clothing, using front and rear strobe lights for improved visibility
