Bike – Platte River Grill on the Platte River Trail to Chatfield Reservoir Loop

Terrapin ride - From the Platt River Grill we will follow the Platt River trip towards Chatfield Dam for a nice leisurely ride then return the same way to the Platt River Grill.

The pace for this ride will average 8 - 10 mph. There may be some hills on the route based on how far we go along the Platt River Trail.   We will probably go to the Chatfield Dam area but not climb the dam itself.

There will be an optional lunch at the Platte River Grill.

Meet at 8:30 AM at the parking lot below the Platte River Grill. Be ready to ride by 9:00 AM.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

Helmet - will not be allowed to ride without one.
Closed-Toe Shoes or other cycling-specific shoes/sandals
Clothing for changes in weather
Sufficient water and food for the length of the ride
Personal First Aid kit including identification and medical card
Flat tire repair kit with spare tube(s) to fit rider’s bike, inflation pump and/orCO2 cartridge(s) and knowledge of their use
Small tool kit to perform minor bike adjustments

Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Lip Balm
Smartphone for finding a route back to your car, also for emergency contact purposes
Consider wearing bright clothing, using front and rear strobe lights for improved visibility
