Must have taken “Intro to climbing” and can belay. It is a very short approach (>mile) with a small section of class 2+ scrambling down to reach the climbing area.

Come climb at the “Lookout Mountain Crag” Lookout Mountain Crag on 10/22 at 4pm in a low-key top-rope climbing session. Located just above Golden, it is a very short drive and very short approach to the climbing area. We will climb until ~6pm leaving as it starts to get dark. We will have access to a variety of grades from ~5.6-5.10 (Mountain Project: https://www.mountainproject.com/area/105745690/lookout-mountain-crag

Goal is to conduct the LIT Technical Trip for Cody Cheadle under the mentorship of Jeff Speake. It is a simple, casual top-rope climbing trip.

Meet at Lookout Crag 4:00pm. Late arrival ok, find us at base of climb.

From US 6, take Lookout Mountain Road 1.7 miles to an unmarked parking pullout.

Here is the location:  https://www.google.com/maps/dir//39.7485846,-105.2429096/@39.7486606,-105.2430252,141m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e0

The most direct access is to park in the dirt area on the left side and hop over the guardrail to the north.  If that spot is full, there are additional pullouts right and left to the west.

Anyone wishing to carpool may meet at the Lookout carpooling parking lot Lookout parking at the base of the mountain in the neighborhood.
