While this is open to all with a climbing background, participants who climb multi-pitch routes, climb in areas where belaying from the top is common, or are interested in learning more about rope and rescue systems will benefit the most from attending.
We will spend time discussing what situations lowering a climber from the top may be the best solution for either ergonomics, safety, or party efficiency. Discuss and practice some methods to give safe and comfortable lowers to your climbing partners, how to use a lower to help set up a rappel.
The seminar will go from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the CMC climbing wall on January 15th, 2026.
