While this is open to all with a climbing background, participants who climb multi-pitch routes, climb in areas where belaying from the top is common, are remote in nature, or are interested in learning more about rope and rescue systems will benefit the most from attending.
We will discuss how to escape the belay and why we should all be well versed in the skill. While the skill is primarily used for rescue scenarios, we will discuss where these techniques can be used in normal climbing days.
This seminar will occur from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the CMC Base Camp on Feb 5th.
