Barr Camp is needing help. Composting toilets are needing some tender loving care. This is a current, desperate need.

Here’s the complete plan:  On Sept 14, catch the Cog at TBD. You will ride the COG 6 mi’s up to the Mountain View trail.  From there, it is a 1 ½ mi. hike to Barr Camp. Check in with the Barr Camp caretakers.  Work days will be Sept 14 & 15. On the morning of Sept 16, hike 1 ½ mi’s back to Mountain View siding to catch the COG at approximately 11 AM for your ride back to Manitou Springs, walk back to Barr TH lot and a ride back to your vehicle.

Thanking you for your help:  Besides the COG rides, the caretakers will feed you well (some special meals) for all B/L/D during your stay, and offer free drinks, snacks, showers, lodging (bunk) and protective clothing as needed.  A stay at Barr Camp is always relaxing.

Parking info and time will be provided later  - to carpool to the Barr TH.  Then to the COG station for a ride to the Mtn View siding.  You will meet Chris Mattingly at the station.  Parking will be paid by others.

You will Need:  Summer sleeping bag, personal items, camp shoes are helpful along with clothing for work and water containers.
