This project will focus on the new trail construction of the Corral Loop Trail. Project tasks may include decompacting hardened soils, moving materials such as rock and dirt, and other new trail construction tasks. Trail alignment and construction details are at the final discretion of RMFI staff and EL Paso County Parks. This is moderately strenuous work using tools in the outdoors. Be prepared for a rewarding day of trail work! If you have concerns about accessibility on this stewardship day, please reach out to us, or for your reference please use our Trail Terminology Guide to learn more about this activity.
Please park and meet RMFI staff at the New Santa Fe Trailhead lot at Hwy 105 and Spruce Mountain Road, adjacent to Palmer Lake at 8:30 am and work to 2:30. Please use the link provided below to ensure you navigate to the correct trailhead location.
