This is an easy beginner snowshoe to the hippy totem pole on Guenella Pass. Our route takes us through forests with some ups and downs to keep the blood flowing. We'll stop for a snack/hot drink break at the totem pole. More details will be provided in the pre-trip email.
Sign up for ONE trip date only and if all the trips you'd like to join are full, join NO MORE than two wait lists. If you are moved from a wait list to a roster, please immediately cancel out of any other wait list, to give others a chance.
Wear your own waterproof boots and tall gaiters. Bring your own kit (snowshoes and ski/hiking poles with snow baskets).
Dress in layers for the day's weather, possible wind, and rolling in the snow. Lunch, high energy snacks, and at least a 1-1/2 liters water. You may be cold at the TH, but five minutes of snowshoeing will warm you right up.
If you have questions about this, please send them to the trip leader.
Meet at Morison PnR, 3485 S Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO 80465 at 7:30am ready to depart for the TH by 7:35am. Google Map link to Meeting Point
We will carpool to the TH at the winter closure on Guanella Pass and park at the Duck Creek Campground. Google Map Link to TH parking.
Restrooms - there is a gas station at the Meeting Point and we will make a comfort stop at the Loaf & Jug in Bailey (please purchase something here). There are no restrooms at the TH.
