Hiking – Aiken Canyon Nature Conservancy Preserve

Let's meet at the parking lot for Aiken Canyon Preserve (south of Colorado Springs) at 9:30 am.  We'll hike the 4 mile loop and along with a dogleg into the canyon for 3/4-1 mile.  Another option is to head up one of the hills to a look out.  We'll return to the parking lot via the main loop.

Please be prepared for cold, snowy weather, muddy and/or icy conditions and bring ice walkers/microspikes.  Bring layers, hats, gloves, and your 10 essentials. One to two liters of water and ample food will also be needed.

Driving directions: 

Head south on Nevada/Hwy. 115 at the junction of Hwy. 115 and I-25 for approximately 15 miles.  Turn right on Turkey Canon Ranch Road.  After .2 miles turn right into the dirt parking lot.
