Hiking – Bench Trail - Colorado National Monument

We will follow the Liberty Cap Trail steeply approximately 700 vertical feet up to the bench. Then follow a use trail north along the bench approximately 4 miles over rolling terrain in and out of alcoves to the Irishman trail. Descend steeply approximately 600 vertical feet on this trail to the Monument boundary along South Broadway. Follow use trails along South Broadway and the Monument boundary approximately 2.6 miles south to the trailhead. 

Meet at the southwest corner of the City Market parking lot located at 630 24 Rd (between Market St and 24 Rd just north of Patterson) at  800AM  o arrange a car pool due to the Wildwood trailhead being so small. From the City Market proceed south on 24 RD which becomes Redland Parkway 2.9 miles to a traffic circle. Go straight thru the traffic circle on Redlands Parkway which will become called South Broadway 1.5 miles to Wildwood Dr. Left on Wildwood Dr 0.5 miles to the trailhead.
