I posted this trip in August so have no idea what the winter conditions will be like. As such, I want each participant to be prepared for difficult winter conditions as I normally continue hiking/climbing unless there's any danger or safety concerns.

This also means that there could be very deep snow making our progress to the summit slow and difficult. Nevertheless, it can be a rewarding undertaking so I encourage you to give it a try if you're in good physical condition and can normally hike 10.0 miles (16 kilometres) with over 2,200 feet  (670 metres) of elevation gain!

We will be hiking a loop that includes the Sleepy S, Elk Ridge, Meadow View, Bergen Peak, Too Long, Founders, and Painters Pause trails.

We'll leave the loop at the intersection of the Too Long Trail and Bergen Peak Trail to reach the summit one mile (1.6 kilometres) further up.

We'll decide at the trailhead whether to complete the loop in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.

Weather can be very unpredictable - please be prepared for winter conditions!

Finally, bring adequate amounts of water and snacks/food.
