Hiking – Castlewood Canyon - Visitor Center

Hike the East Canyon Preservation Trail in Castlewood Canyon. This is a lollypop hike that starts across from the visitor center and travels east under Hwy 83 following Cherry Creek. The trail is a mixture of canyon and open prairie.

After returning to the cars if folks are interested we may walk along the top of the canyon for an additional 1.0 mile R/T

We will meet at 8:30 am in the Cabelas parking lot at Ridgegate and I-25 in Lone Tree, specifically in the northwest section of the parking lot close to Cabela's, for a prompt 8:45 am departure.  Here is a Google Maps link to Cabelas: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8MpS4gFvbby9g5bj9.  DO NOT PARK in the parking lot close to the Sierra Restaurant or the hotel!
