Hiking – Cheyenne Mountain State Park

A moderate hike through the foothills of a nearby and lovely state park. We'll hike the Talon Trail to the Dixon Trail and then up Dixon but only for 2-3 miles before breaking at some spot that gives us an overlook and then head back. Aiming for 10 miles round trip.

Traction devices may be needed. Leader will consider bumping the hike a day if adverse weather makes the 28th unfavorable. The park now allows leashed dogs so if you want to bring your well-mannered pup, that's okay.

If it's full and you want to come, add your name to the wait list, there will generally be a cancellation or two as the date nears and plans change.

Meet at the Limekiln Trailhead by 7:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. start. There is a per vehicle entrance fee of $10 (if you don't have a state parks pass). If the cost is a barrier arrange to meet the leader who has a pass.)
