This should be an easy and fun hike of 5 to 7 miles depending on group and conditions.
Unfortunately no dogs allowed on the trails because of National Park Service rules.
Some people like to practice with their snowshoes ... I will probably just wear spikes and bring poles.
This will still be a hike in winter conditions, so think about layers as well as snacks and hydration.
We will meet at the Safeway in Old Colorado City at 8:00 a.m.

Most likely micro-spikes for mixed trail conditions and possibly snowshoes if you want
Be sure to bring some dollars ($7 or $8 depending on gas prices and number of people in the vehicle) for your driver if you carpool
