Hiking – Golden Gate Canyon State Park

Summary: The trip will start with a 2 mile climb to 9,300’ following Black Bear trail. We will loop around Greenfield Meadow and return to the parking lot via the Horseshoe trail.

Meeting time/place: Meet 8 am at the Golden Gate Canyon State Park Visitor Center, 92 Crawford Gulch Rd, Golden, CO 80403.

Please note that in order to enter the park a Colorado Wild Pass is required or an entry fee of $10 will be charged at the park entrance. 

From CO-93 in Golden, drive North and make a left on Golden Gate Canyon Road. Drive 13 miles. Make a Right on Crawford Gulch Rd.
