Hiking – Golden Gate Canyon State Park

The trip will start with a 2 mile climb to 9,300' following Black Bear trail. We will loop around Greenfield Meadow and return to the parking lot via the Horseshoe trail. There is a bailout option at mile 3 in the event of inclement weather or other circumstances.

Meet 7:15 am at the CMC building (American Mountaineering Center), 710 10th Street, Golden, CO 80401. Departure at 7:30 am. The drive to the GGCSP entrance is 14 miles - approx 25 minutes. Gas reimbursement: 28 miles per car @ $0.32/mile. Total $9.00 per car.

Meeting Time/Place: Meet 8:00 am at the Golden Gate Canyon State Park Visitor Center, 92 Crawford Gulch Road, Golden, CO 80403. From CO - 93 in Golden, drive North and make a left on WB Golden Gate Canyon Road. Drive 13 miles. Make a right turn onto NB Crawford Gulch Road.

Please note that in order to enter the park a Colorado Wild Pass is required or an entry fee of $10.00 per vehicle is charged at the park entrance.
