Hiking – Horsethief Park Trail

This is the fourth hike in a Women of the Colorado Gold Rush hike series. Each week will feature history about a woman who arrived in Colorado Territory by 1860 and how her boots left an impact on Colorado. Each hike will be within an area in which the featured woman traveled.

This hike features Katrina Murat who arrived in Colorado Territory 1858.  Originally from Germany, Katrina was one of the first Anglo women to arrive during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush.  Katrina sewed the first American flag to fly over Cherry Creek Settlements.

Meeting   Location :  Cabela's in Centennial, far east parking lot (drive past the building)

Meeting time:  7:30 am for 7:45 am departure
