The two mile approach hike to the base of the rock is via the well-maintained Horsetooth Rock trail. The scramble starts at the base of the southern portion and follows a ramp to the south ridge. Follow broken rock to the upper portion of the ridge. Scramble through a couple of notches and over a couple of moderately exposed ridge points to the south summit. Descent is via the same route.
Bring a helmet. If you might want a rope belay over any portion of the scrambling route, please inform the trip leader ahead of time so that we can ensure that we bring appropriate gear.
