This will be a 5 mile / 1200 elevation gain circumnavigation of Meyer Ranch Park, including the climb up to Legault Mountain. Estimated time to complete: 4 hours. RMOTHG members only.

Typically a straight-forward Microspike hike in Winter - but with a moderately steep climb up and down the final 1/2 mile to the summit of Legault Mountain.

I would welcome a Co-Leader who could meet folks at the carpool site since I will be coming from the opposite direction from my home in Bailey.

Meeting Time:   9 am

Meeting Place:    Morrison PnR (3485 S. Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO)

From the Morrison Rd (CO 8) exit of 470 (5A) go west towards Morrison. Take immediate right on South Rooney Rd. Dirt Parking Lot is directly on your right across from the gas station/convenience store.

Meyer Ranch Open Space:  10508 S Turkey Creek Rd, Morrison, CO
Intersection of 285 and S Turkey Creek Rd (Ex. 239).  About 15 minutes / 12 miles west of 470 / 285.

Microspikes required.  Poles recommended - especially for descending the 1/2 mile down from Legault and some rocky sections. Snowshoes rarely needed - such as if there is a big snowstorm prior to trip. I will email everyone the weather & trail conditions the day before the trip.
