Hiking – Mount Morrison

Brisk early morning/fitness hike of Mount Morrison with optional coffee or brunch stop afterward

Join us for a group "quad buster" hike with an early start to get to work, or just get the day started on the right foot. Mount Morrison is known for the steep ascent with a small portion of Class 2 scrambling at the top.

We will get moving on the trail at 6:25 am, or earlier if all participants are accounted for beforehand - see meeting place/time below. Expect to be on the trail for a little over an hour and a half.

This will be a fairly brisk hike. Please note the pace, the plan is for this to get us breathing deeply.

Once down, we can discuss options for optional coffee or brunch in Morrison.

Please only sign up for this trip if you can maintain a 2.5 mph pace for the duration of the hike. We will take a brief break at the top for snacks and views. Please consider the pacing/your fitness and the impact it may have on other participants' time constraints when you join as some members may be leaving directly for work.

Parking at the trailhead is limited. It is strongly recommended to carpool at the Morrison PnR, which is located only a few minutes from the trailhead.
