****NO HARES PLEASE****
Participants must be comfortable with Class 2 scrambling on rock in a boulder field. All participants are required to hike to at least 12,000 feet at least 1 1/2 weeks before this hike.
Let's meet at 6:00 am at the Guanella Pass Trailhead on Guanella Pass Road. We'll hike on the boardwalk through the willows and head up steeply on the western slope to a shoulder south of the peak at 13,780 feet. We'll then start scrambling through the boulder field to the summit.
Please bring your 10 essentials including, but not limited to: 2-3 liters of water, ample food for lunch and snack, warm layers, and rain gear.
I will be camping out the night before the hike. If you wish to camp with me, you'll need to bring your own camping gear, food and water. Please contact me by Friday, August 14, 2026 should you wish to camp with me. I can be reached at sheindk@yahoo.com, (c) 7195106699, and/or (H)7196357720.
