- This will be a CASUAL paced Colorado "winter" hike - so we may need winter traction or even snowshoes.
- The trail is well established and well used - so it is more likely to be icy and slippery (winter traction needed / trekking poles helpful) than deep snow.
- We will travel together as a group and take gear and clothing change breaks as need to keep things fun and safe.
- It is almost ALL Uphill the first 3-miles to the turn around point.
- Lots of photo and bird sighting opportunities along the way.
- Bring a warm drink, sit pad, and snack to enjoy at our break at the turn around point in the "pancake" rocks.
- Only trained service pets allowed.
- We will observe the principles of Leave No Trace - especially being courteous to other hikers as we will be traveling in a group.
We will meet at 8:45am at the Horsethief Park Trailhead Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/egopsRFJbqqctR3h6
