Hiking – Paradise Basin

We start on an unmarked trail on the East side of the Ophir Pass Road. Following a sometimes faint trail we enter a Basin with a small lake surrounded by massive rock walls and sheer cliffs. Well behaved and leashed dogs are welcome on this hike.

I suggest bringing water shoes since they may be needed almost immediately in crossing a creek. If not needed, they can be returned to the vehicle only 100' away. Well behaved and leashed dogs are welcome to join me and my friendly Golden Retriever, Augie, on this hike.

Meet at 7:15 am at the parking area on the west side of Hwy 550 on the frontage road at Government Springs Road, just before MP 121.
