Hiking – Pollock Bench - Mc Canyons NCA

This is an overflow hike to accommodate anyone interested in hiking McInnis canyons. Non CMC members welcome but must register and create a free guest account at cmc.org to get on the roster.

Meet at the Kodel's Trailhead (across 340 from Dinosaur Hill Trailhead) south of  Fruita at 9:30am. Car shuttle to Kodel Canyon TH to start hike.

Another wander through the McInnis area by Fruita. This hike is 8.3 miles with 1400 ft elevation. Expect good views, sandstone, some canyons and open country, and maybe bighorns. WE MAY ENCOUNTER ICE, please bring poles and if you have them microspikes.
Plan on a car shuttle hike FROM Pollock Bench Trailhead on the F, D and K segments TO the roadside trailhead near Kingsview Road on Hwy 340 by Fruita (across from the Dinosaur Hill Trailhead) . This will include segments from Flume Creek, the bottom of Devil's Canyon and Kodel Canyon.
Meet across 340 from the Dinosaur Hill Trailhead at 9:30 am (39.135497,-108.738592 ). There we'll carpool to the Pollock Bench Trailhead. Once back at beginning, the drivers will shuttle to retrieve their vehicles.
