Mary  Hall at 22 years of age arrived in the Pikes Peak region in 1840 with her husband, children and father.  Her husb;and deserted her and seized the children.  With a strong     inner compass, May began cooking at the Salt Works Ranch off of what is today Hwy 285.

She married Charles Hall who saw the South Park area as a prime business opportunity due to the salt springs in the area.

 Meeting Location:  Hamden & Wadsworth PNR

Meeting Time:  7:30 am for 7:45 am departure
