[Rescheduled from 2/19 and 3/11]    After Caroline Schmiedt and Judy Long scouted the Bierstadt Lake trail the day before, we decided to not post hole around that lake in wet thigh-deep snow.  So instead, we hiked the 5-mile out-and-back trail to Cub Lake in Moraine Park. This is where we will enjoyed our lunch break.  We saw a black bear, moose, elk, ground squirrels, ducks, and marmots.  After a wonderful hike, we returned to the visitor's center.  Everyone brought their essentials, lunch, water, sturdy boots, and rain gear.

There are two meeting locations, depending on where you come from:  1) JAX parking lot (SE edge), 2665 W. Eisenhower Blvd., Loveland at 7:00 a.m. to carpool, OR 2) Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, 1000 U.S. Hwy. 36 (west end of parking lot) at 8:00 a.m.  We will carpool to the Fern Lake/Cub Lake parking areas in RMNP.  Leaders have RMNP passes.  Restrooms available at Visitor Center.  PLEASE text, call or email Anita Wright to say which meeting location you will be at (970-222-5920 or adwright2001@yahoo.com).
