What is Geocaching? Join the world’s largest treasure hunting community!
Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor adventure that is happening all the time, all around the world. To play, participants use the Geocaching app and/or a GPS device to navigate to cleverly hidden containers called geocaches. There are millions of geocaches in 190 countries waiting to be discovered—there are probably even some near you right now.

To get started, create a free basic account and use Geocaching.com or the free Geocaching® app to search for geocaches near your location. To participate in the hike's geocaching adventure with your smart phone or GPS, you will need a Geoacaching Account -- visit https://www.geocaching.com/play/search

Your logon name will be your geocaching name -- so choose wisely :)

You can tie your trip, Geocaching, and Leave No Trace together by making it a "Cache In Trash Out®" event http://www.geocaching.com/cito/.
