This is a Leader-in-Training trip for Gordon Eaton.
AllTrails lists this hike as a 4.8-mile out-and-back trail that is considered a moderately challenging route and takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete. The elevation gain is approximately 960 feet. The route starts out going mostly north east on the Staunton Ranch Trail for 1.8 miles, then takes a right turn at a trail junction, heading mostly north to the Red Wall where we will have lunch before retracing our steps back to the parking area.

The group will meet at the Fort Restaurant outside of Morrison along Highway 8 at 8:30 on the morning of Sunday March 19th and be ready to leave at 8:45 AM. Map location of The Fort Restaurant: https://goo.gl/maps/at821LsMpEj4JYxcA
OR -- Participants have the option to meet up with the group at Staunton State Park, meeting at the Upper Parking Lot arrive no later than 9:15 AM so we can get on trail at 9:30 AM.
Required Equipment
Please bring micro-spikes, the Ten Essentials. Consider gaiters, goggles, trekking poles with snow baskets, warm clothes, plenty of food and water.
Bring any necessary medical supplies you may require.
