Hiking – Staunton State Park - Davis Ponds & Historic cabins

This hike is limited to members attending the RMOTHG Annual Picnic Only. This relaxed and easy, 2.3-hike is around the Davis Creek Ponds.

This easy, 2.3-hike is around the Davis Creek Ponds (it is not an out and back). We will not extend the trip to the historic cabins. This trip starts at the Deluxe Ranch Hand shelter picnic area, follows the scenic trail through meadows of aspen and conifer and goes along the two small ponds.

Please arrive at the Staunton Park Deluxe Ranch Hand shelter picnic area by 9:15am for a 9:30am start. We'll be back by to the picnic area by 11:30 to enjoy the picnic and get-together with our RMOTHG friends.

Please bring a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, plenty of water (at least 1 liter) and your other 10 essentials. Let the leader or co-leader know in advance of any medical conditions that may affect the trip.
