Hiking – Ute Peak

Ute Peak offers some of the best views of the Gore Range to the west as well as the Blue River Valley.

Please do not sign up without leader permission as you're name will be removed.  We do need to do a pace of about 1500ft/hr to avoid the group getting cold. 

Would love to have you on the hike if it is a good fit for you, hence the sign up with leader. Please email with the hikes  you have recently done of similar length and altitude / with what leaders.

Dress appropriately at the start of the hike so that you will be relatively comfortable until  stops are made for clothing adjustments. All breaks WILL BE taken as a group to avoid multiple delays. Please carry back up clothing layers. 

Any MEDICAL conditions you may have that might IMPACT the group, please discuss with the leader PRIOR to the day of the trip.  Should you need to cancel your spot on this trip after the trip has closed, please contact the leader by txt. (no calls).

 The leader will meet the group at the TJX parking lot in Dillon at 0700 hrs.  

(Suggested front range meeting location for carpool, Wooly Mammoth lot exit 259 ,section BB across from the gas station. Carpool arrangements are the sole responsibility of and are to be arranged by the participants, not the leader).

Snow shoes (which we will hopefully not need to bring with us). Ten essentials including a fully stocked first aid kit. Printed map and gpx track which the leader will send to the participants prior to the hike.
