In remembrance of our long-time CMC member, Ed Seely, who passed away on April 25, 2025, this memorial hike and lunch will be an opportunity to honor Ed's tremendous contributions to and friendships made in our CMC NoCo Group. Ed's passion for our mountains was an inspiration to us all during his 40-year membership.
This will be an approximately 4 mile hike along the stream in Young Gulch, where there are several stream crossings and wildflowers. Although the trail continues on further, once we reach an area that was affected by the 2012 wildfire, we will enjoy a quick snack. We will then hike back to the TH near the Poudre River, and drive 5 minutes to the Mishawaka restaurant by 12:30 where we can enjoy a lunch on the deck overlooking the river (or inside if too windy). Those not wishing to go to the restaurant may return to Fort Collins. Enjoy a time of beauty and reflection as we share our love of the mountains and remember our friend, Ed Seely.
