Bring the 10 essentials and good hiking footwear. Warm temperatures are always possible and likely cool nights. Bring camping equipment, water, (which can be refilled on site), insect repellant (occasionally gnat season can be significant), your own food plus one simple potluck item for Wednesday evening which we can coordinate ahead of time.

An entrance fee per car into the park will be split amongst passengers. Please make arrangements to reimburse drivers for gasoline expenses if you participate in a carpool. Camping fee will be approximately $40 per person for the trip collected by the leaders at the campground.

Other: Supplies. The Needles Outpost Store is a remote store with very limited stock and expensive gasoline. It is the only source within 50 miles. It does have pay to use showers. Cell service in the park is very limited. PLEASE NOTE: We really need to honor the Park Service's parking restrictions - if we have too many cars, some participants will be asked to park their vehicle in the overflow camping lot. Parking will be assigned according to order of trip sign-up. Gasoline, food, and extensive services are always available in Moab, about 60 miles north of our campground.
