This is a training climb for current Glacier Travel School students/instructors preparing for a graduation climb

We will begin our approach from the road to the Fourmile Creek Trailhead near Fairplay (about 0.75mi past the Leavick site) at 4:15AM. The team will pause for a gear transition and to assess/discuss conditions at the base of the couloir prior to proceeding. At the top of Boudoir Couloir, we will continue over the summit of Horseshoe Mountain and descend via the peak’s east slopes. Horseshoe Peak can be climbed via its east slopes in the event conditions are unsuitable for climbing Boudoir Couloir. Please see team trip plan for complete details and gear list.
