Intermediate Snowshoe – Lake Agnes
RESCHEDULED: Starting at the winter parking this beautiful snowshoe will be 5.2 miles round trip and 1,200 feet elevation gain to an alpine lake in the Never Summers. The lake lies within glacial tarn surrounded by a cirque consisting of Nokhu Crags, Static Peak, Mount Richthofen, Mount Mahler, and Braddock Peak.

The planned trip will be an intermediate snowshoe with some steeper slopes. Prior snowshoe experience is required.
The trip leader may contact you to assess skill and experience level prior to allowing you on the trip. Please email the trip leader if you have any questions or concerns about this activity.
The snowshoe will start at the parking lot along State Hwy 14 near County Road 64 A. This is State Forest State Park land and a state park pass is required.
Participants from Fort Collins can meet to carpool at the NW corner of the old Albertson's Parking lot south of Willox and east of College (near the King Soopers).
The trip leader will send an email with details about the meeting times.
Required Equipment
In addition to the 10 essentials, remember to bring layers for various winter weather. The trip leaders will send an email a few days before the trip with current weather conditions.
Remember to bring your snowshoes and appropriate footwear as well as hiking poles with snow baskets. Ski goggles are also recommended as it may be windy up by the lake.
Although listed as a snowshoe, depending on trail conditions, we may use microspikes so please bring them too.
